Thanks giving. The day for thankfulness, friends, family and food. As many US citizens bring their celebrations to a close or head to bed nursing large food babies consisting of turkey and other tasty holiday treats, I thought I would bring you a list of the things I am thankful for.
My loving, caring, kind hearted, intelligent sweetheart. He’s my light when I’m lost in the dark, the reason I smile, my pillar of strength and so much more. I do not know where I’d be without him sometimes. He brings happiness to my life that I’ve never experienced before, and I know that I want to spend the rest of my life in happiness, making memories together that we’ll never forget. I love you my dragon.
My family. Yes, I know. Everyone most likely says this, and I’m going to be one of those people. They drive me mad at times, but at the end of the day I’ve learned from them, laughed with them, watched them kick goals and make dreams realities. They have helped me become the person I am today.
My gorgeous dog, Tira. We picked Tira up in early 2014 from a family down the road. She was the smallest of 14 pups. I chose her partially because of this fact, but also her actions when I met her. She was Placed into my arms and the little darling pup she was stretched her head up, licked my face and burrowed back down into my arms. We took her home and she became a part of the family. She still takes up all the space on my bed, but she’s a cutie and I love her.
The internet. It’s provided me with books, music, some of the games I play, my business and friends. I think like most people I’d be lost if the internet suddenly disappeared.
Books. I’ve read so many books over the years that I’ve lost count. I wrote a post a few weeks back recommending a few of my favourites. Without books I wouldn’t have explored writing, and I certainly wouldn’t be posting this post.
My friends. I’ve met some of them online, some of them at school and some through other recreational and employment opportunities. We’ve laughed and cried, grown as people, made mistakes, learned from those mistakes, had fun and cause chaos together. On some occasions they are the glue that prevents me from falling apart.
