Inner Beauty Is The True Beauty

When I look at my social media feeds i am swamped with adverts for products that are designed to enhance our outer beauty. There are products to conceal blemishes, extend eyelashes, smooth away wrinkles, curl and straighten hair, enhance lips, shadow eyes and so much more. My question is, where are the products for enhancing the parts of us that really matter? Why is it so easy to enhance the outer yet not the inner?
We spend so much time covering our faces in chemicals, hiding who we truly are behind filters and enhancing our outer appearance when all we should be doing is focusing on our inner beauty.
Salma Hayek once said. People often say that “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”, and I say that the most liberating thing about beauty is realizing that you are the beholder. This empowers us to find beauty in places where others have not dared to look, including inside ourselves.
In my opinion, the world can do with a little less artificial beauty and a little more true beauty. We are all beautiful in our own special way. We just have to show that beauty instead of hiding it. This is me. Unfiltered, without any makeup or filters. My hair is free of styling products and the rest of me is too. The clothes are not a representation of today’s fashions, nor will they ever be. This is me, recognising my true beauty and shunning the idea of beauty today. Will anyone stand with me?A young lady stands against a simple background dressed in black. She wears a light black jacket over a cold-shoulder dress, black leggings and a pair of soft boots that end just below the knee while her hair sits around her face.

Thank you.
